School is off to a great start and the children seem to be excited to be here. We love having the opportunity to minister to them. Thank you for your cooperation in making sure your children have the right clothing for the uniform policy. I was pleasantly pleased that I have very few problems in this area. One mistake I made was not including black socks in the list of socks. Please feel free to send your children in black socks. I apologize for my oversight.
I am enclosing an updated Parent Commitment form. Please read it over carefully and sign and return it by this Friday. The only change involves the use of social media. If you have any questions, please see me.
We will have a short meeting this Wednesday after school for any students between the ages of nine and fourteen who would like to participate in the Lego Club. This Wednesday, the church is offering a family dinner from 5:00 - 6:00 PM each Wednesday. It is open to everyone for a donation. Please sign and return the Parent Envelope each week so we will know you have received the information inside.

PSO News from PSO President, Amy Bolyard
I will be setting up a sign-up table for Cougarfest for Wednesday August 27. Everyone should be able to start planning how they can help with our big day on October 11th! If you haven't already, please ask your extended family members and church family if they will volunteer to help, get a solid commitment and sign them up as well. It takes a small village to raise Cougarfest, but it's worth it!
Also, please do not pass over the PSO Officer nominations table. All but one of the officers, including myself, have resigned for various reasons, and the school really needs all of you to prayerfully consider stepping up and stretching out. We will stand by you and help you. Please pray and ask the Lord if He would use you in one of these positions. Every single one of you is called to be a blessing in some way, and this may be it. Thank you..
In His Service,
David C. Friend,
