There will be an ice cream social/yearbook signing party this Thursday, September 4, 2014, in the gym at 6:30 PM. If your child attended Covenant last year, we have a free yearbook for him/her.
Thank you for your support in working with us to help students learn to dress modestly. . Please try to do the same as you visit the school. Actions speak louder than words. Our students need to know that we have the same guidelines for ourselves as we do for them- that we practice what we preach. As a Christian school, we are constantly dealing with the pressure the world puts on our students to conform to it and not to God. It is our responsibility to guide them in the correct way.
There is a volunteer signup list in the teacher workroom.. Teachers need volunteers to help with various activities. If you have any free time, please signup to volunteer.
Please send in any boxtops or labels you have collected over the summer. Boxtops will be sent in for processing in October. We have been able to get several items for the physical education program using the labels and coke caps.
Next Friday, September 12, 2014, will be our first $2 dress down day for the elementary and middle school. For two dollars students can dress down in blue jeans and a t-shirt. Please remember that all clothes must be modest and appropriate. All the money raised from this program goes to support the two Compassion International children we support.
Don’t forget to sign up to help at Cougarfest. We need a great deal of volunteers to make it successful. We will be having chicken and french fries this year. I will be overseeing the french fries. We take fresh potatoes and slice them up and deep fry them. They are delicious. I am excited about doing my part to help.
Also, we are looking for people to be officers of PSO. If you are interested, put your name in the jars in the gym entry.
