Purpose of the Parent Service Organization
Covenant Christian School's Parent Service Organization (PSO) is a group consisting of school staff and parents of students (preschool through eighth grade). Every parent of a child in the school is automatically a voting member of the PSO. The PSO meets once a month at set times and school administration makes the agenda and presides over the meetings. The PSO's purpose is to aid families in their understanding of Christian education, to help them to be more effective in the rearing of their children and to encourage them to be more loyal and committed to the school. The PSO will provide welcome packets to all new families each year at orientation and will help them to adjust to being part of the Covenant family. The PSO is the fundraising wing of the school and, as such, shall research and investigate different ways to raise money and oversee any and all activities that are pursued. The goal of the PSO is to bring unity to the body and provide ways that will help the school accomplish its goals and enhance student learning.
